I just learned a little lesson that would have kept me from a lot of stress if I would have done this in the first place. About two months ago we had our photographer come take pictures of the family with our new addition. The pictures were awesome! It took a little while for me to order what I wanted, I choose to get the CD with all the pictures and to print my own. Then we had to wait until it was shipped, so about a month had gone by before I received my CD. I put it in my computer to look at them and they looked sooooo good! I didn't save them to my computer at the time, not sure why. We took the pictures to a couple of places to print some of them. Last night I decided to upload the pics to my computer to ad some to my blog and guess what.....NO PICTURES! Somehow the disc had been reformatted and there weren't any pictures to be viewed. I freaked out! I called the last place we took it, CVS, and they hadn't ever heard of that. I will be taking the CD up there and talking to a manager, we'll see what they will do for me. Then I called my photographer. She was great! She will be sending me another CD by the end of the week. PHEW! I thought the pictures were lost forever. So the lesson learned here was, ALWAYS BACKUP your pictures! I should have uploaded them to my computer and them downloaded to another CD or a USB drive or something!
